A comprehensive and compassionate look at divorce

This is a clear-eyed look at what holds a marriage together and what tears it apart. Sonia’s writing is both practical and lively, coming across as a dear friend who desires the best for her reader. I chuckled over many of her self-directed questions: “Are you just getting a taste of the good stuff? Or is it the main course? Do you feel like you’re served a 3-shrimp cocktail followed by a huge mound of box mashed potatoes?” Her questions in the “Reflections” section are more serious and probing, revealing the attorney side of her. As a divorced woman of faith, I especially appreciated her advice. “Do not give up on your faith because your decision to divorce is incompatible with dogma.” Sonia’s book covers all the concerns I had before, during, and after my divorce. If I’d her book back then, I’m sure making the decisions I had to make would have been easier.

One of the best resources if you’re struggling in your relationship

The author of this book Sonia provides valuable insights and resources about healing your heart due to relationship struggles from research and personal and professional experiences. This book can help you find the right path for you when you are in relationship and you are not sure what to do whether you should “stay marry or hit the road.” The author pushes you to look deep into your self and your emotional health on whether the relationship is “worth the fight” through seeking counseling and asking yourself though discernment questions and journaling. I have had this author on my podcast called Bringing Intimacy Back and she definitely has a calling to help others have “Empowered Living.”

Great compassion on the road to healing

One work to describe this book is introspective. Emphasizes the importance of one’s own happiness and self-love as the beginning of a good relationship with one’s self and then relationship with others. Very easy to read and follow; nothing too abstract. The techniques made sense and I looked forward to practicing them in my everyday life. Totally recommend to everyone who is experiencing troubles with their relationships not only with other people, but also with themselves.

A nice gift to yourself or a friend

How many of us have been forced to listen to a friend yammer on and on about the spouse they love/hate. Author Sonia Frontera can help us all hear ourselves. This is the kind of book that you read with a highlighter and a pen. You can jot things down as cliff notes . . . and then pass it on to someone else you love. Do yourself a favor, get the paperback unless you want to end up buying both . . . like I did. Write on Sonia.

I absolutely loved reading this book. Sonia does such a great job at making you feel a personal friend you can vent to and be honest with. This book is jam packed with every scenario you can imagine if you’re going through a divorce or having relationship issues. Sonia covers the different reasons why you could be unhappy, the red flags you might have missed, how to determine if your marriage is salvageable, how to boost your self esteem, learning how to be kind, how to file for divorce, support systems, and more. She clearly poured her heart and soul into this book and I’m so grateful for her sharing her wisdom and personal journey of going through divorce and living a happier, fulfilled life. This book gave me real hope and real guidance! Five Stars!!

Outstanding resource for all: married, single and anywhere in between

One of the best relationships books out there. Sonia’s advice and truth telling is kind and honest. She blends an excellent balance of reality and telling it like it is while also providing support and acknowledgement that relationships can be hard. What makes this book especially helpful (and one I recommend to my clients) is the support and guidance she provide along the way. This isn’t about just reading it and realizing, yep that’s me, darn. It’s about reading it and having a path forward. Thank you for this great resource!!

We all desire happiness, but sometimes life’s circumstances get in the way, and so it is with divorce.
Author Sonia Frontera has written the definitive book on the subject. Her advice comes from her personal experience both as a person who has gone through a divorce, and as a lawyer.

In her warm, effusive style, Sonia is both your best friend and your sage. She offers you wisdom from both her head and heart. Whether you decide to resurrect your marriage or move on to a more satisfying life is left up to you. Sonia provides the power tools to make smart choices. The book absolutely belongs on your night stand.

Clear and concise: delivers

Relationship Solutions is so very well constructed. The author did such an excellent job structuring the book. The sections connect and expand and while working through your divorce, you will feel like Sonia is there with you. The advice is practical. The exercises helpful. Ms. Frontera has taken the mess and chaos out of the divorce process. Relationship Solutions is deceptively clever set of strategies where the author has clearly put a lot of work in to make them seem simple enough to do and succeed. Well done.

The ultimate marriage relationship self-help book

Anyone considering beginning or ending a marriage should read and work the exercises in this book. Part 2 covers not only the emotional but also the legal issues of the marriage relationship.

I really enjoyed the shorter beginning, Part 1 which is about your relationship with yourself and how to actively examine your own thinking. Are you stuck in repetitive non-productive thinking? You will enjoy the SNAP exercise, guaranteed to raise awareness. A positive – enjoyable read!

This book is written with a compassionate-knowing tone. There is fabulous information about healing here including meditation, forgiveness, self-love and how to live in the moment.
